Populi: first-time setup

Before you can log in, you'll activate your account using the welcome email sent to your personal email address.

Find the welcome email

Look in your personal email for a message from Barber-Scotia College with the subject line Welcome to Populi.

It lands in spam fairly often, so check there too.

Click the activation link

The link in that message takes you to a page where you'll set your password.

The link works for 30 days from the day it was sent. If yours has expired, email helpdesk@b-sc.edu from any address you can reach and we'll send a new one.

Add a mobile number, or skip it

Populi may ask for a phone number so the College can send you text notifications. This one is up to you, and you can skip it and add it later.

Create your password

Populi requires at least 10 characters, including a capital letter and a number. Symbols are allowed.

This is separate from your BSC email password, so the two don't need to match and changing one won't change the other. For a password you'll remember without writing down, see Choosing a password you'll actually remember.

Save and sign in

Click Save Password and Log In. You'll land on your Populi Home dashboard.

Bookmark b-sc.populiweb.com while you're there. It's the only place to sign in, and having it saved means you're never guessing at a link someone sent you.

If the welcome email never came

Check the spam folder of your personal email first. If it's been more than a few days since you were accepted, email helpdesk@b-sc.edu with your full name and date of birth and we'll look into it.
