Populi: reset your password

Created by Barber-Scotia ITS, Modified on Thu, 6 Aug at 4:27 PM by Barber-Scotia ITS

If you can't get into Populi, you can reset your password yourself.

Reset it

  1. Go to b-sc.populiweb.com
  2. Click Forgot your password? below the login fields
  3. Enter your BSC email address
  4. Open the reset link and create a new password

Populi requires at least 10 characters, including a capital letter and a number.

The reset link goes to your personal email

You enter your BSC address to identify yourself, but Populi sends the link to the personal email address on file for you, the one you used when you applied.

Check that inbox, including spam.

Check which account you're resetting

Populi and your BSC email are separate systems with separate passwords, so resetting one won't affect the other.

If the password you're trying was for your BSC email, you'll want Email: reset a forgotten password instead.

If the reset email doesn't arrive

If the personal address on file is one you no longer use, the link is going somewhere you can't reach it, and trying again won't change that.

Email helpdesk@b-sc.edu from any address you can access, with your full name and student ID, and we'll verify you another way.

If you've never signed in before

This is a different process. See Populi: first-time setup to activate your account.
