Once your password is set, you can read and send BSC email from any browser.
- Go to https://b-sc.edu:2096
- Enter your full email address, including @student.b-sc.edu
- Enter the password you set
Bookmark that address. It's the only place to sign in, and having it saved means you're never guessing at a link someone sent you.
What you'll see
Once you're signed in, your mail opens in Roundcube. It works the way you'd expect if you've used Gmail or Outlook: your inbox is on the left, messages open on the right, and Compose is at the top.
Webmail is for a browser
Webmail works on a phone, but it's built for a full screen and it won't notify you when something arrives. For day to day use, adding your BSC account to your phone's mail app is a better experience and takes about five minutes.
iPhone: Apple Mail or Outlook.
Android: Gmail app, Samsung Email, or Outlook.
If your password isn't working
Two things are worth checking. Make sure you're entering the full address rather than just the first part, and make sure you're at b-sc.edu:2096 rather than the Populi sign-in page, since the two accounts have separate passwords.
If it's still not working, you can reset it at https://b-sc.edu:2096/resetpass or email helpdesk@b-sc.edu.
On a shared or public computer
Sign out when you're finished, and don't let the browser save your password. Anyone who uses that computer next would have access to your mail.
