How to contact IT

Created by Barber-Scotia ITS, Modified on Thu, 6 Aug at 3:24 PM by Barber-Scotia ITS

Anything technology-related at Barber-Scotia comes through IT. If you're not sure whether it's our department, ask us anyway and we'll point you to the right office.

Email us

helpdesk@b-sc.edu is the fastest way to reach us, and it's the only IT support address at Barber-Scotia. Allow up to one business day for a reply.

You don't need your BSC email to reach us

If you can't get into your account, write to us from any address you can access, including a personal Gmail or Yahoo account. That's expected and it won't slow anything down.

Or open a ticket

Submit one at support.b-sc.edu. The form asks for an email address, and a personal one is fine. A ticket lets you track the reply.

What to include

  • Your full name and student ID, if you have one
  • The BSC email address or username the problem is about
  • What happens when you try, including the exact error message or a screenshot

Reporting a suspicious message

Forward it to helpdesk@b-sc.edu with PHISHING in the subject line. See Report a suspicious email for what else to include.

What we'll never ask for

We will never ask you to send us your password, and we'll never ask for it over the phone or in a text message. If a message claiming to be from IT asks for one, it isn't from us. Forward it to helpdesk@b-sc.edu.
